If the reports were to be believed, Henry Cavill is in negotiations to star alongside Tom Cruise in Christopher McQuarrie's upcoming feature film, BROADSWORD. According to X handles, citing Daniel Ritchman as the source, the movie on World War Two epics is slated to begin production in Summer 2025. 

This highly anticipated project marks an exciting collaboration between Cavill and Cruise six years after Mission: Impossible- Fallout, rekindling their best memories together. Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard is also set to join the cast, adding to the film's star power. With a talented ensemble and acclaimed director, BROADSWORD is soon to shape up as a blockbuster hit.

No release dates have been announced so far, although reports have a brief synopsis of the movie. 

As the summer 2025 shoot approaches, fans can expect more updates on this thrilling project, which seems promising enough to deliver high-octane action and gripping drama. Produced by Warner Bros, BROADSWORD tells the gripping story of an S.O.E. operation during WWII. A marine captain crash-lands in France, becoming the sole survivor. With unrelenting determination, he must overcome treacherous circumstances to complete his mission for mankind.

Amidst the war-torn chaos, he would have to pass through numerous tests of his courage and resilience in the face of overwhelming adversity. If the scoops turn out to be true this would be Henry Cavill's third world war movie following The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Immortals. Until then, all of it must be taken with a pinch of salt as there have been no official announcements so far.
