Henry Cavill Swings the Sword Before ‘Highlander’ Reboot in a Realistic Fan-Made ‘Conan the Barbarian’ Trailer

Once upon a time in the La La Land of the unexpected, Henry Cavill picked up Geralt’s sword one last time and never returned to the Continent. Despite passing the torch of his mantle to a trusted successor, Liam Hemsworth, all fans waited for the ex-Geralt to slip back to the sword-swinging era, and with the buzz around the Highlander remake, they knew the day would not be far down the line. It looks like fans’ prayers were answered by a fellow Cavill supporter way before the star could arrive on the silver screen to play Connor MacLeod in a Conan the Barbarian trailer.
Cavill does not just lift the sword in the trailer but brings nostalgia to its sharp edges.

Like a long-lost warrior returning to the battlefield, a fan-made Conan the Barbarian trailer by KHStudio has stormed through, wielding none other than Henry Cavill as its fictional champion. With each swing of his blade, the British star steps into the savage grandeur, his bare-chested presence and warrior’s grit igniting a familiar frenzy among fans. The concept trailer is a feast of ferocity where a long-tressed Cavill channels raw power.

As Cavill clashes steel, battles through high-stakes skirmishes, even the punchy battle-hardened dialogue does not fail to deliver. The sound design only sharpens the edge, amplifying the thrill as every frame pulls the viewers deeper into the barbaric legend. Although there has been some buzz about a new live-action adaptation, the trailer is built on speculations swirling around Cavill in the leading role. Thus, if ever there were a call to arms for a new Conan, the trailer vouches for Cavill loud and clear.
Though updates are scarce about the new Conan the Barbarian live-action project, things have become clearer for Henry Cavill’s Highlander reboot with a plot detail.
Plot of Chad Stahelski’s Highlander starring Henry Cavill
After a lot of delays surrounding Henry Cavill’s Highlander remake, Chad Stahelski finally let fans in on intriguing details about the project last November. In a conversation with The Direct’s Russ Milheim, Stahelski said the upcoming reboot will not venture into the “early 1500s” of highlands but will be set in “beyond present-day New York and Hong Kong.” With that time jump, Cavill probably could portray a modern Connor MacLeod.

“It’s a bit of a love story, but not how you think,” Stahelski teased. As the director went on, he revealed that they plan to kick-start production by spring 2025. Although with the delays, fans have been growing impatient for the project to get its ducks in a row, at least the fan-made Conan the Barbarian trailer gives them a glimpse of what awaits from Cavill’s swords.
