Henry Cavill’s name has been associated with many popular franchises, including Twilight, Harry Potter, and James Bond. However, something always stood in the way of him landing his ideal role. Cavill and Vaughn struck a friendship on the sets of the 2007 film, Stardust, where they worked together. When Cavill finally earned his well-deserved leading role in the Superman franchise, Vaughn “cheered” for his friend. Especially because after a string of rejections, Cavill was “beginning to doubt” whether he even belonged in the industry.

Poor guy had been down to number 2 on so many franchises”, added the filmmaker, who was there for Cavill. However, with a string of strong performances, Cavill solidified his reputation as one of the industry’s most versatile actors. Though the extent of Vaughn’s involvement in Cavill’s success is uncertain, his promotion of British culture ignites the hope of witnessing another Henry Cavill in the making.
