Henry Cavill Produced Warhammer 40K Officially Secures a “Full Agreement” Contract With Amazon
Henry Cavill might not be reprising roles as Superman or Geralt of Rivia, but he is ready to take center stage in the much-anticipated Warhammer 40k. In December 2022, Amazon Studios and Cavill reached an agreement to jointly bring the Warhammer 40,000 universe to both big and small screens. As the most popular miniature wargame globally, particularly among the British audience, the British actor will not only take the lead role but also hold the executive producer reins.
Following much speculation, Games Workshop has finally broken its year-long silence on Warhammer 40,000 for Amazon, confirming that it is now moving forward at full throttle.

One year after committing to creating the Warhammer programming universe, Games Workshop has officially sealed the deal with Amazon. The Warhammer Community released a statement announcing that Warhammer 40k is progressing to the next stage after reaching a “full agreement” with Amazon. The next phase involved collaboratively hashing out creative details with partners and initiating the production of the first script. The statement also threw a question to fans asking if they should kick off with a movie, show, or both.
The statement confirmed that Henry Cavill would be “bringing his pen, sword, and/or spear to the project” as an executive producer. While it usually takes years for snippets to arrive on screen from the point of production, the Warhammer Community assured that they will bring forth “latest updates and cool snippets” real soon. Along with Warhammer 40k in full swing, another popular fantasy franchise hinted at the inclusion of Henry Cavill.
Warhammer 40k is often pitted against Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon. A recent promo leading up to Rebel Moon‘s Netflix release dropped a hint about Henry Cavill making his way into future parts of the franchise.
Henry Cavill could be in the next parts of Rebel Moon
The whole talk about Rebel Moon being similar to Warhammer 40k emerged with a Reddit thread. Fans connected the dots between Snyder’s flick and Warhammer 40k’s Krieg troops with a commissar. They also claimed that Rebel Moon could be inspired by real-life events during World War II given the similar undertones. These theories raised the speculation of Cavill being a part of the Rebel Moon franchise. And after the promo at Southbank, London, this speculation gained even more credibility.

In a recently displayed teaser after the theatrical release of Rebel Moon’s first part, an evil antagonist came with a mysterious voice on the screen. It then urged fans to explore the mysteries of the solar system. Many fans jumped to social media platforms claiming that it was Henry Cavill’s voice, fueling the rumors of his addition to Snyder’s franchise. With Warhammer 40k, and the rumored Rebel Moon inclusion, it is safe to say that Cavill is making up for departing from his iconic franchises in a big way.
