The world premiere of Argylle in London brought together the cast, including Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa. When questioned by the Associated Press about collaborating with Dua Lipa, Cavill could not help but share his admiration. He said the whole experience was “absolutely amazing” and called Lipa a “consummate professional”. Even though it was her first time on set and she was supposedly a bit nervous, Cavill insisted she handled it with remarkable composure.

He also declared that he was totally open to working with her again. Dua Lipa was also in sync with Henry Cavill’s feelings and had some love to share. She opened up about the fun dance scene in the trailer and said Cavill was an “amazing partner“. Additionally, she gave props to director Matthew Vaughn, who, by the way, had an interesting story about casting Lipa.

Pop Culture Planet caught up with Matthew Vaughn at New York Comic Con to get the lowdown on Dua Lipa’s first foray into acting. Vaughn admitted that he was a bit out of the loop on pop culture and had no clue who Dua Lipa was until his kids played her music for him. He then dished on an interview where Lipa was sporting a Valentino dress. Although Vaughn was not a big fan of the dress itself, he could not help but applaud how Lipa rocked it, making it look fabulous on her.

Vaughn expressed a tad bit of frustration over the misconception that Argylle will be Lipa’s second film. He set the record straight, stating, “We shot this before Barbie. This is her proper acting debut”. Matthew Vaughn also put the rumors of Lipa contributing to the music of Argylle to rest. He made it crystal clear that Dua Lipa will not be blessing fans with any new music for Argylle. Considering the trailer merely scratched the surface of Dua Lipa and Henry Cavill’s on-screen dynamic, the anticipation is real to witness the full magic this pair brings to the screen.
