However, director Matthew Vaughn quashed these rumors. He debunked the claim and confirmed the existence of an actual Elly Conway behind the book.

Amidst the cyber speculations, Vaughn chuckled at the internet’s vivid imagination. More so, he assured that Swift’s only contribution was inspiring the on-screen appearance of a Scottish Fold cat, Chip. The original actor cat did not quite hit the mark on the first day of filming. This prompted Vaughn to make a beeline to his daughter’s room, requesting to “borrow” the cat. Little did she know, it turned into a three-month gig.
