Christopher Nolan’s recent Oppenheimer has just hit the theatres and is anticipated to be a raging success. His directorial stunts have always been a hit with fans and he is considered being one of the leading filmmakers of our century. And with that comes the age-old burning question about James Bond. Will he ever direct the James Bond movie? And just when Nolan showed an interest in making a James Bond movie, the Twitterati flooded the internet with support for Henry Cavill. 

The role for the new James Bond movie has been up for grabs. The last time we spotted Daniel Craig as James Bond was in No Time to Die. This was about three years ago. And since his move away from the role, the speculations land on who the next best James Bond will be. And fans helped divert that speculation to another English actor, Cavill. 

In Josh Horowitz’s podcast, Nolan talked about how it would be an “amazing privilege” to direct a Bond movie. And the fans were quick to connect the dots after he expressed his desire. They immediately assembled in support of the Man of Steel lead. The Witcher actor played his other much-loved role of Superman. 

Within hours of the podcast release, the fans took to Twitter and demanded Cavill be the new Bond.

The talk of James Bond perfectly arrived when the Geralt of Rivia was closing in on his role. While some fans were outright excited to show their support for Cavill, others replied that he was busy with season 3 of The Witcher instead. But the Nolan references with respect to Superman were everywhere. With a “They should get on board, asap” from one fan referring to Nolan and Cavill, another followed suit.

But the idea of a trilogy, with Cavill as the lead? Is this the Cavill era we have ALL been waiting for? And another enthusiast chimed in with “Christopher Nolan as the Director. Henry Cavill as James Bond. Watch the box office explode”
