Henry Cavill might love his dog more than anyone else. Just last year, the actor stunned the world with the announcement of his latest project, a Matthew Vaughn spy thriller. He had given up his role as the iconic Superman and his role as Geralt in Netflix’s The Witcher, but fans approved his prospects. Now, with the much-awaited movie coming out in just a few days, the actor and his co-stars are at the peak of their promotions.

During the promotions for Argylle, Cavill ended up revealing a rather hilarious story involving his contract and his dog’s reaction to him working with the director’s cat.

Henry Cavill jokes about having a cat contact clause in his Argylle contract

Just a few days ago, Henry Cavill and his co-star, Sam Rockwell sat down with Collider to discuss their upcoming film, Argylle. While they had kicked off the premieres in Korea and in the US, the promotion run had not ended. During their conversation, the interviewer began by asking the important questions. He asked the 40-year-old star how his dog, Kal, felt about him working so closely with Matthew Vaughn’s cat. The actor laughed and recalled, “Well, thankfully, I had it in my contract not to have too much interaction with the cat.”

Cavill continued that the low contact cat clause had helped him get Kal to “allow” him to take up the film. His hilarious confession had everyone cracking up. Although the actor’s dog may not have been allowed to be on the Argylle set much, that was not the case when The Tudors actor worked on Netflix’s The Witcher. Kal once even got badly injured on the set of the fantasy series.

While there might not have been Vaughn’s spy thriller without Kal’s approval, the film is thankfully set to come out in just a few days.

When will Henry Cavill’s Argylle be released?

Last year, Henry Cavill took over the internet for 2 reasons. While the first one was because he was leaving The Witcher behind, the second blow-up happened when the actor announced his next project. Although his fans had expected him to kick back and relax for a bit, the 40-year-old got added to Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle cast. Now, after being delayed last year, the movie is finally set to release in theaters on 2nd February 2024.

With only 4 days left to go, anticipation has now reached a brand-new high. So far, the people who have gotten lucky enough to attend the premiere of Argylle have raved about how good the film is. However, the rest of the world will have to see it to believe it.
