As he entered the odds chart, Idris even surpassed Peaky Binders’ Tom Hardy and Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy who had earlier also appeared on the list seems to have fallen behind to make room for new faces like Idris. Besides the Netflix sci-fi thriller, Outside The Wire, the 32-year-old is also known for his role in the hit FX series, Snowfall. Even as a lesser-known artist, the British-Nigerian actor has become a popular underdog for the role.

But as people rush to make their opinions known on their pick for 007, one man whose opinion matters the most remains silent. And he has a hilarious reason for keeping his thoughts to himself too!

This is because Daniel Craig once declared that he pays no heed to the ongoing competition for the role he vacated. With Bond-like nonchalant charm, the 55-year-old revealed that he mostly avoids the internet and social media.

But Craig’s refusal to partake in the debates cannot stop the multitudes that are eager to finally see who bags the part. After all, the secret agent with a license to thrill has one of the biggest followings of any franchise in Hollywood.
