Prince Harry has been reportedly struggling to find a sense of identity ever since he left his family behind to begin a new chapter in Hollywood. While speaking to Fabulous from The Sun, Royal author Phil Dampier revealed that “He (Prince Harry) doesn’t look happy”, as he lost many of his friends over the years. Dampier also shared that the Prince “is dependent on Meghan for his social life”. He then delved into the potential reasons leading the Prince to feel this way.

The royal expert continued that the Prince does not have his old circle and is currently on the lookout for social connections among the “rich and famous”. He also revealed that the Prince misses his “drinking buddies” in Montecito, which is a city with an older demographic.

This has been taking a toll on the Prince, who not only lost “his royal status and military connections”, but also lacks genuine friendships in life. A glimpse of this condition could have been foreshadowed on the couple’s wedding itself.

Prince Harry put a ring on his relationship with Markle in 2018. While the day was historical for every royal family enthusiast, it marked the start of a decline in Prince Harry’s friendships due to a minor oversight. The ceremony was followed by an evening bash, where some, including Tom Inskip, weren’t invited. Inskip later showed his displeasure at the turn of events, saying, ““Meghan has changed Harry too much”.

In the book Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand also revealed how disappointed Inskip was for not getting an invitation to the bash. Many of the non-invitees also believed that this was the Sussexes’ way of signaling who they wanted to keep in their life following their marriage. If the claims of Phil Dampier had any truth to it, the “lonely” Prince might just be on his way to reconcile with his old friends, including Tom Inskip.
