As adorable a ‘hooman’ Henry Cavill may be, his pet dog, Kal, is unarguably the sweetest. And did you know? He also has superpowers!! Well, if you are a true Cavill fan, you must know all about his best friend and companion, Kal. Furthermore, given Kal’s apparent fandom, it might as well be the case that you are a bigger fan of his than the British actor himself.

But you might not be knowing about his super-paw-er. Back in 2022, when Cavill still was the bearer of the bulgy bits as Superman, and made a surprise cameo in The Rock’s Black Adam to hint at his next superhero gig, the world was rejoicing. The 39-year-old himself was perhaps so overjoyed that he did many interviews, chats, and everything in between. He also participated in Josh Hurwitz’s Happy Sad Confused Podcast back in 2022.

And amongst many other things, they also talked about his American Akita, doubtlessly named after his most successful character of all time- Superman, AKA Kal-El. When Hurwitz asked about Kal’s superpower, Cavill gave the most adorable answer. “He and I have been together now for eight years, and I think his superpower is just being there, being there for me.” The Enola Holmes actor further continued that as an actor, it might get lonely sometimes, “especially in years before when I’ve been single.”

Cavill also acknowledged that “he’s an extraordinary animal” and god has sent him from heaven specifically for him. Did you know, though, Kal is very much a part of The Witcher universe?

Well, if you are a gamer, we need to say no further! However, if you are not, Kal, who has been with Henry Cavill’s best friend for almost 9 years now, is now eternally a part of The Witcher games. Yes! His legacy is to continue forever. While Henry Cavill seldom forgot to take Kal to The Witcher set, he has now become a part of the games forever.

He apparently appears at the Devil’s pit for the players who have a “good” ending in The Witcher 3’s brand new quest. They reportedly introduced the feature as a part of Projekt’s latest update. Meanwhile, Cavill’s last and third season of The Witcher will be on your screens, only on 29th June. (Well, at least it’s first part!)
