Lately, the many earth-shaking admissions that came from Jada Pinkett Smith regarding her 26-year-long partnership with Will Smith kicked off countless memes. Yet, amidst all this ridicule, her husband, whom she separated from seven years ago, has stayed tight-lipped about it all. When he did speak up, it was only to shower praises on his wife.

So, the question remains as to why Will Smith does not share the same opinions of Jada as the internet currently seems to.

Why does Will Smith still praise his wife?

In the memoir she released today: Worthy, Jada Pinkett Smith uncovered many hidden truths that built the narrative of her life. While many condemned her choice to speak these uncomfortable truths, Will Smith openly declared his admiration for her through an open letter that was read during a Jay Shetty podcast. Not only did the Bad Boys actor accept his wife’s journey and truths, but came to respect her more for speaking them unabashedly. The same cannot be said by the bystanders in the online ecosphere.

For many, the matriarch of the Smith family seemed to be using her relationship to market her memoir. Yet, it was equally possible that the 52-year-old was simply briefing prospective buyers of her book on what to expect, as authors are commonly known to do. After all, all the topics she disclosed in her memoir, like their separation, Slapgate, and her relationship with Tupac, were simply occurrences in her eventful life. 

Netizens also seem to have forgotten how Jada Pinkett Smith has also stood by her husband through thick and thin like he is doing now.

When the Red Table Talk host first revealed their separation, everybody wanted to know why Will Smith even defended her by calling her his wife after slapping Chris Rock in 2022. After revealing the reason why they refuse to get a divorce, she has now shared the heart-warming reason she attended the event with him. Besides providing emotional support for Smith at the event, Jada also realized her undying love for her “man” at that moment. 

Another way that Jada unquestioningly supported her husband from the start can be seen in the close bond she formed with his first son from his previous marriage. Their children, Jaden and Willow Smith have often cited their family to be a united one that continues to stay so despite tribulations. With all that has unfolded so far, it seems to have proven true, as both Jada and Will Smith continue to stand by each other.
