In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Guy Pearce revealed why he never collaborated with Christopher Nolan again after his 2000 hit, Momento. Pearce claimed a Warner Bros. executive openly expressed doubts about his acting abilities, telling his agent that he is nowhere near getting along with Pearce. "I'm never going to get Guy Pearce. I'm never going to employ Guy Pearce," said the executive according to Pearce.
This executive's opinion seemingly impacted Pearce's chances of working with Nolan on future projects. Pearce further recalled being flown to London to discuss the Liam Neeson role in Batman Begins, only to have the opportunity snatched away. He was of the opinion that the decision to dismiss him must have originated in the plane itself. Despite this, Pearce maintained a positive relationship with Nolan, who showed him the Batmobile and had him over for a family dinner.

Hence, that was the end of his Christopher Nolan movies but Pearce has grown out of it for the better.
