“Greatest Superman ever” – Zack Snyder Once Left a Beautiful Ode to Henry Cavill and Fans Couldn’t Relate More
If not for Zack Snyder, fans would have never watched Henry Cavill in the iconic red cape. He was the one who saw this immensely talented British superstar as the right fit for Superman in 2013’s Man of Steel. Although the audition did not go the way the actor wanted it to, the director showed confidence in his acting skills. In fact, he shared a beautiful ode of his performance and now fans are relating to it completely after Cavill’s exit.
A video of Henry Cavill’s interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast resurfaced on social media. The host revealed he reached out to Zack Snyder for his thoughts on the return of Superman. The filmmaker treated the 40-year-old to a video message from the set of Rebel Moon. In the video, he called Cavill the “greatest Superman ever” and that he was eager to work with him again.

In his response, the Enola Holmes star said, “he is a lovely man” and that he appreciates everything he has done for him. Fans loved how these two shared an amazing bond, but the duo could not work together since James Gunn benched a second Superman film. Not even two months had passed since the announcement of his return, and the new CEOs of DC Studios rebooted the universe.
So fans are using these beautiful moments from the past to hold on to their favorite Superman. Or one can say sharing these posts has become a coping mechanism for viewers. They agree with the statement Sydney gave for the version of Superman Cavill played in the past years.
Fans agree Henry Cavill was the greatest Superman
Seeing this post, many fans turned to the comment section to share their views. Some dropped clips of Henry Cavill donning his blue suit and cape while others got overwhelmed, remembering they would never see him again in it. They feel sorry for the actor that he had to leave his favorite role when he had already made plans to take a more positive arc.
Many believe Zack Snyder is a true visionary and his choices have always made actors synonyms with the characters. Just like Henry Cavill became the best incarnation of Superman in the eyes of fans.

Well, these are just some reactions from fans who loved Cavill from the bottom of their hearts. However, the Immortals star was not that satisfied with his acting in his debut Superman film Man of Steel. The actor once told THR that he had regretted some things in his role and wanted to change his smile in a scene with Martha Kent played by Diane Lane. But that is all in the past now and David Corenswet will take his place in the DC Universe as Superman.
