Action is not just about the jaw-dropping stunts that light up the screen, but also about how the mundane can go from blah to brilliant in a flash! Comic book pages have never been shy about bending reality, but as time has marched on, they have leaned on the tropes of reality too. Sure, there has been a lot of chatter about keeping certain scenes under wraps, but when Marvel’s Agatha All Along decided to embrace the same, everyone was glued to their screens. Kathryn Hahn, the fabulous star behind Agatha, recently spilled the beans on how she played a part in this exciting evolution for Marvel’s leading ladies.

While plenty of heroes have flaunted their cheeky displays, Hahn proudly claimed the title of being the first heroine to make the super reveal for Marvel Studios.

During the premiere of Agatha All Along on Wednesday, Marvel’s sequel to WandaVision, audiences got a cheeky surprise with a generous glimpse of Kathryn Hahn’s backside. While Marvel has never held back from showing off its male superheroes like Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder, Hahn revealed to Variety that it was actually Agatha all along. “Good to see her as stripped down,” she said, explaining how this tweak was her idea to highlight her character’s current powerlessness.

Hahn believes this bare moment is super symbolic, echoing Drew Starkey’s thoughts on how intimacy can deepen storytelling. It beautifully captures Agatha’s journey from vulnerability to empowerment. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer added more, revealing that Hahn went off-script during the shoot. Instead of grabbing a robe before running outside, she thought about what Agatha would really do in that situation and made it her own.

Schaeffer saw this creative tweak as a bold, subversive move for the studio, admitting that it brought a new level of flair and energy that struck a chord immediately.

During the premiere of Agatha All Along on Wednesday, showrunner Jac Schaeffer revisited the moment when Kathryn Hahn added her twist to a key scene. When Hahn pitched her idea, Schaeffer was all in, calling it possibly the “greatest idea” he had heard. Given Hahn’s history with revealing roles, Schaeffer admitted that sneaking her nudity into the MCU felt kind of “subversive”—in the best way possible.

The scene was a bit of camera magic, with strategically placed angles and Hahn’s hair providing just the right amount of coverage. But the change was so perfectly true to Agatha’s vibe that it became one of those laugh-out-loud moments. While Hahn’s bold reveal stole the spotlight, Schaeffer’s behind-the-scenes insights highlight just how game-changing this little tweak turned out to be.
