In the latest Pump Club Newsletter titled, Missed Opportunity, he talked about the benefits of walking. The action legend revealed that fast walking improves cardiovascular function, which increases lifespan. In fact, he mentioned instances of research done on fast walking to prove his point. “One study of more than 50,000 people found that the ability to move faster reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease by more than 50 percent after age 60,” he mentioned in his newsletter.
According to these studies, a person should at least maintain a pace of two miles per hour for a long life. Though the standard is 10,000 steps per day, 8,000 steps can suffice for a healthy lifestyle. Maintaining longevity has always been the goal for the 76-year-old because, with growing age, he cannot keep up with his old routine.

So the actor is finding new exercises to fill that gap and keep himself moving as long as he can. For people his age, he suggests that cycling is another way to intact muscles. Besides these golden workout tips, he keeps on motivating his fans through his posts.

He revealed in the video that the eight-time Mr. Olympia and he met up for a training session as he pumped his veins.
For the unversed, both bodybuilding legends first joined forces at Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach, California, for a workout. It was indeed a standout moment for all the fitness fans and aspirers, watching them both engage in barbell curls using 135 pounds.
