Last year, Hollywood saw Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, out of nowhere, waving a Disney magic wand and resurrecting the entire romcom genre in one sweep. No one had expected Anyone But You to do so well commercially- not even its creator, apparently. And now, Hollywood is hungry for more feel-good romances. Jennifer Aniston, the romcom diva, has already hinted at a potential love pair with her The Morning Show co-star Jon Hamm. And turns out, Aniston is not the only one who thinks they would make a great rom-com couple.

Jon Hamm not only acknowledged Aniston’s wish to be his on-screen love interest but also praised the new stars of the romcom world.

Jon Hamm recently agreed that it is high time he and Jennifer Aniston teamed up for a romantic comedy. While chatting with IndieWire, Hamm said, "I have no idea what it would look like". However, the 53-year-old believed that with a bit of humor, he could create a "charming and funny, and compelling" romcom pair with Aniston. And Hamm fully credited the Anyone But You stars, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, for bringing back the hype of romcoms. "God bless Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney for proving that it can work again," added Hamm.

Hamm made it very clear that there is no way he would refuse to take on a romcom with Aniston. The idea of their pairing first surfaced when Aniston mentioned it in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Though Hamm’s belief in his potential to craft a rom-com marvel with Aniston might come off as a bit self-assured, it is not without merit, considering the sizzling chemistry they had in their Apple TV+ series.

Last year, Aniston even opened up about one of their intimate scenes in The Morning Show that had set the internet on fire.

Jennifer Aniston and Jon Hamm did not need no coordinator for intimacy

Jon Hamm took on the role of Paul Marks, a scheming tech billionaire and Jennifer Aniston’s love interest in Season 3 of The Morning Show. In episode six, there was a scene where the on-screen duo found themselves caught up in a passionate moment, slightly more explicit than the show usually serves up. Since they had worked together before, filming the scene was pretty easy for them, so Aniston decided she did not need an intimacy coordinator on set.

Aniston told Variety that she passed on the coordinator because it felt "awkward". She pointed out that she was used to working in Hollywood before coordinators were common and said, "We’re seasoned- we can figure this one out". With their undeniable chemistry and considering how Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have rejuvenated the rom-com genre, the thought of Aniston and Hamm seizing this moment could very well lead to another rom-com blockbuster hit at the box office.
