Jennifer Aniston found it difficult to cope with the sudden death of her beloved friend Matthew Perry. Insiders revealed she suffered most acutely among the Friends cast. Before the American star, her father passed away and his anniversary was just around the corner when this news hit her. Now trying to recover and regroup herself, the actress has found a new purpose that could have made her buddy happy.
In a new post, the Murder Mystery star has urged fans to support the Matthew Perry Foundation with her.

Jennifer Aniston recently turned to her Instagram to share a post on the story. It showed the actor-turned-producer asking people to join her and donate to the Matthew Perry Foundation. “For #GivingTuesday, please join me and Matty’s family in supporting his foundation – which is working to help those suffering with addiction,” she wrote. The post also included the inspiring message that Perry left for this world to fight addiction.
“Addiction is far too powerful for anyone to defeat alone. But together, one day at a time, we can beat it down,” he once said. Having experienced it himself, Perry knew how difficult it can be to overcome this problem. It was from this understanding that he spoke openly about his struggles, even establishing the Perry House at his Malibu abode. Having people like Aniston who checked up on him further helped him to recover from his struggles really well.
Now, after his untimely demise, the same friend has fulfilled his wish by bringing up this donation, as the Emmy-nominated star did not want to be remembered just for Friends.

One year before his death, Matthew Perry talked about how he would like to be remembered. While promoting his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, he went to the Q with Tom Power podcast in Toronto. “When I die, I don’t want ‘Friends’ to be the first thing that’s mentioned,” he said. Instead, he wanted people to mention his name for the good things he did or the people whom he helped.
He always lent a helping hand to people who struggled with addiction. Being a savior to someone was much more important for him than being a famous sitcom star. Now after his step-father, his close friend Jennifer Aniston has made his wish come true with this donation for the foundation. She reminded people that he was not Chandler Bing from the comedy-drama, but a person who bravely fought throughout his life.
