During the event, he referenced Robert Downey Jr.’s recent comeback, jokingly saying he would rather be "DOOMED" than play Iron Man again. The tongue-in-cheek comment sparked a laugh fest amongst the crowd carrying forward Deadpool's legacy of quick-wittedness and ability to poke fun at fellow Marvel icons.

The event witnessing Deadpool's unique blend of humor and irreverence occurred on July 28, 2024 at the popular theme park. In a past promotional event, Deadpool and Wolverine made a limited-time appearance at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure, coinciding with their film's release. The show entitled Storytime with Deadpool delighted fans with family-friendly tales near the Hyperion Theater.

Coinciding with the Deadpool & Wolverine release, Dr Doom’s revival for Avengers is everything MCU fans ever wanted. And Deadpool's 'doomed' stance has only added more jitters in the fest. 

Fans went ecstatic about Deadpool's mention of Robert Downey Jr.'s return as Doctor Doom, with one writing "Give this man a RAISE". They felt surreal, reminiscing about 2008 and the original Iron Man film, while marveling at Disney's masterful hype-building. Many marveled at the fact that even Deadpool is aware of the hype Robert Downey Jr.'s return has generated.
