Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2019, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed a secret behind Stallone’s failed 1992 film, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. The Terminator star said that Stallone decided to pick up the role because Schwarzenegger had acted like he wanted to do the film. He also revealed that the script was “a piece of shut.”
Schwarzenegger mentioned that Stallone had taken up the role after a phone call they had. During the call, Schwarzenegger had feigned interest in the film, even calling it “a really brilliant idea.” That sparked Stallone’s competitive streak and led to him accepting the role. The film was a failure and even got a rating of 14% on Rotten Tomatoes. Years after the film came out, even Stallone called it “one of the worst films in the entire solar system.”
