Unlike Halloween, the ’90s sitcom featured Thanksgiving in a very Thanksgiving-y way. This time, you make your day more grateful by streaming these 5 episodes from the show.

The One With the Football (Season 3 Episode 9)

Instead of just watching the football at home, the gang actually went out of their apartment to play. Fighting over the infamous Geller Cup, everyone showed their sportsmanship. What was interesting in the episode was Ross and Monica’s extreme competitiveness! Despite anyone winning, the Geller Cup would have come home only. However, in the end, neither Ross nor Monica were ready to let go of the ball.

The entire episode is fun, exciting, and full of laughter. Phoebe, being Phoebe, put on her weirdness to the best, while Rachel was clueless about what was going on. As for Chandler and Joey, despite being on the same team, they fought against each other to impress a woman.

The One With the Rumor (Season 8 Episode 9)

Who hates Rachel Green? It is Will, Ross’ old friend, who got an invitation from Monica. Now, this episode got a huge shout-out from fans because it was Brad Pitt who portrayed the cunning character. However, Monica was totally unaware of Will’s feelings toward Rachel. Interestingly, while having dinner, when Will revealed the truth about the ‘I Hate Rachel Green club’, it turned out Ross was also a part of it.

As shocking as it was for Rachel, notably she was pregnant with Ross’ child as well. Watching Brad Pitt teasing his then-wife, Jennifer Aniston, despite shedding tears on their actual wedding day, was an electrifying experience for fans. However, Joey added more fun with his turkey pants in an attempt to eat the whole turkey by himself.

The One Where Ross Got High (Season 6 Episode 9)

Could Thanksgiving be any more dramatic? Because this episode was hilariously dramatic in so many ways. Surprisingly, Monica let Rachel cook the dessert that year who messed up the recipe of the English Trifle. Meanwhile, Monica asked Ross to clear the misunderstanding of their parents about Chandler so that they could admit their relationship to them.

Apparently, Ross lied to his parents about him getting high and told them it was Chandler who made him do it. So, while Ross failed to do as Monica said, she took the task into her own hands and told the truth. However, in just 30 seconds, all their secrets were out and Judy had to sigh saying, “That’s a lot of information to get in 30 seconds.”

Of course, there was Phoebe crushing over Monica’s father, only to realize it was Jacques Cousteau. And also Joey who loved the mix of beef in dessert.

The One Where Chandler Doesn’t Like Dogs (Season 7 Episode 8)

Who does not like dogs, right? Well, it is Chandler! The frustration, the fear, the excitement, and Joey’s concept of a Moo Point, everything is there in this episode. With Phoebe making a revelation about having a friend’s dog in the apartment, Chandler revealed he did not like dogs, despite Joey’s warning. Meanwhile, Ross could not get over the fact that he could not name all the states of the USA.

Do you remember Rachel’s hot assistant, Tag? Accidentally, Rachel admitted her feelings for him as well. However, the episode ended on happy notes: Chandler’s fear of dogs vanished, and Ross finally figured out the last state he forgot. Meanwhile, Rachel and Tag also gave each other a shot.

Revealing all the characters’ worst Thanksgiving experiences, this episode takes us to the flashback. The highlight of the episode was Monica, the neat freak, putting on the turkey to express how sorry she was for accidentally cutting Chandler’s toe off in the past. Although it was inspired by the real-life incident of Matthew Perry’s life, the show beautifully utilized it.

This episode is unique also because, unlike other Thanksgiving episodes, it sees characters enjoying their deserts lying idly on Monica’s couch and not around the table. And how can we get over Chandler admitting his love for Monica while she had the turkey in her head?
