Henry Cavill continues to stay in the superhero form despite making his exit from The Witcher and Man of Steel franchises. The 40-year-old actor is known for playing all his roles with the utmost dedication. So much so that fans are not willing to see someone else playing Geralt. When you see Cavill on screen, you see the layers he has adapted to get into character. Be it with Superman or Geralt.

His dedication towards his work cannot be questioned, keeping in mind how much he invests into them. His physique obviously being one of them. Gym enthusiasts and bodybuilders look up to him to get the perfect ‘Hercules’ body. And back in an old interview, Cavill revealed his fitness journey, which happens to be similar to none other than The Rock.

What is the secret behind Henry Cavill getting that physique?

In an interview dated September 2021, with Bodybuilding.com, Cavill discussed his philosophies about training and what pushed him to go beyond his limits. “I have gone through peaks and troughs in my physicality, depending on how hard a job has been,” shared Cavill in the interview. He also described that the time he invests in his training depends on the demands of the role. 

Clearly, Cavill likes to switch up things based on the intensity of the job at hand (by reducing or increasing the workout frequency). So it is no surprise that he prefers to have any necessary facility available as and when he may need it. The approach he took and described is similar to Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s approach when he created his home fitness gym, Iron Paradise.

If there is one thing both Superman and Black Adam have in common, then that is their robust, brawny physique. And another, is their trainer, Dave Rienzi. Similar to Johnson, Cavill too aims to have his own home gym fitness. He described that he would want a “maximal” set-up with a large space to have all his necessary equipment.

The actor tries to have a gym schedule in accordance with his work commitments. Four times a week otherwise, it’s six days of the gym for this Hulk. For Cavill, it’s not only about the gym but also about a good diet. In an interview with GQ, he described that he is more than okay to have the same meal daily. 

Cavill also keeps up with his passionate gym-freak spirit by making collaborations with brands like Muscle Tech, his go-to supplement, to inspire others to adopt a gym lifestyle.
