Sydney Sweeney is currently in the busiest period of her career. The actress has been in two different films in just three months. First, she revived the rom-com era with the most surprising blockbuster of 2023, Anyone But You, and then she made her debut in the superhero genre with Madame Web- even its box office performance was surprising, but for different reasons. The 26-year-old also stepped into the horror genre for the first time in her career with Immaculate, along with venturing into her producing era. But she is not done ruling Hollywood yet.

Here are all the exciting projects that Sydney Sweeney is going to be a part of in 2024 and beyond. 

For all the Sydney Sweeney fans, there is a lot to look forward to in the coming days. First, the actress will appear in the star-studded ensemble of Ron Howard’s thriller, Eden. The movie’s first look recently surfaced, and from what it seems, Sweeney is going to play a very different role than she has played before. But then again, that is what Sweeney does. This brings us to the boxing biopic she will star in next.

Sydney Sweeney is set to play the lead in the untitled film about the life of boxing champion, Christy Martin. Apart from that, there are two anticipated projects that have taken a lot more time than was expected in the making- the Barbarella remake and the third season of Euphoria. While the filming of Euphoria season 3 has been scheduled, there is very little known about the remake of 1968's Barbarella. Last but certainly not least, Sweeney has also been cast in another thriller, Echo Valley, which is currently in its post-production phase.

While these are all confirmed projects, Sydney Sweeney is also rumored to be involved in some big franchises- one of them being the MCU.

Sydney Sweeney’s last attempt with the superhero genre did not land well, albeit it did help her connect with Disney and be a part of Anyone But You. Nonetheless, the actress seems to be quite dedicated to entering this world still. MyTimeToShineHello, the popular X page for insider updates, revealed earlier this year that Sydney Sweeney has been offered the role of Black Cat in Spider-Man 4.

After trying out drama, horror, romcom, and now a biopic, it seems a superhero blockbuster is all she needs to establish herself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Whether or not she is really joining the MCU is something that is still up in the air. However, that will certainly not stop the actress’ quest to push her acting boundaries with diverse roles.
