Arnold Schwarzenegger has proved that he is no hero. While the world might know him as the Terminator, the 76-year-old has since tried his hand at every field. From bodybuilding to acting to even politics, he has not only tried but succeeded at everything. Now, decades after he broke into the Hollywood circuit, the former governor of California has gone back to his roots of fitness and bodybuilding. Though he never really left it, fans of the star have wondered why he believes so strongly about keeping his discipline.

Even though his fans think he is a superhero, the actor may have shown a more human side in a recent interview.

It is no surprise that Arnold Schwarzenegger is a fitness freak. However, the actor revealed in a recent interview with The Times that he wanted to stay on top of his health. While it was something he had never told the public before, he opened up about how his “three open-heart surgeries” have changed his outlook on life. With his larger-than-life personality, it is a little hard to believe that a man with so much vigor could have health troubles. However, he claimed that he would not be “slowing down” yet.

After admitting that the surgeries made him “think about things,” it was evident that he was scared but determined to stick to what he loved at the age of 76. He also revealed that he might not be able to continue with his working out for much longer. The thought of Schwarzenegger not being able to work out due to “health reasons or age reasons,” is enough to make a grown man cry. However, the Austrian Oak is being realistic about his condition. Yet he very strongly believes the day he has to give it up “will be torturous.”

In it, the actor claims to have given his fans the secret recipe to his success. From workout tips to life tips, his book will cover all the rules he stuck to. During all the promoting of his upcoming book, the actor took a break and headed to Oktoberfest, which brought fans Fortune Feimster’s sweet story about the star.

However, with Schwarzenegger promising that he will not be backing down as of yet, fans could get a few more tips from the master himself before he gives up his workouts. But until then, fans can pre-order his book, which will be released on October 10th.
