Taking it to his Instagram account, Misan Harriman, a close associate of the Sussexes has reacted to the recent talk of the town. Sharing a tweet headlining the Metro Police Fiasco, the photographer wrote in despair, “Sigh…SMH”. The news thumbnail featured the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex, who have stood with Harriman through thick and thin.
The Nigerian photographer has been an active voice in society against racial discrimination. He is quite frequent to share subtle whereabouts of the California royals here and there. It was the same photographer, who released a plum and prim-looking picture of Princess Lilibet during her March christening. Prior to it, Meghan Markle had also made a stunning appearance to inaugurate the TED Talks of the activist.

As was reported by the BBC, six now-arrested police officers were criminally charged with exchanging racial remarks and ghastly slurs in WhatsApp chats. What started as BBC’s Newsnight program last year, eventually led to a full-fledged investigation against the alleged. Considering the sensitivity of the messages, the BBC has not revealed the texts.

However, the context of the jokes is now all over the internet. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were the prime figures to take the hits in this context. Other remarks by the police officers referred to the recent flooding in Pakistan, the Rwanda policy of the government, and others. The MET Anti-corruption and Abuse lead James Harman affirmed, “I am pleased that…we have been able to secure these charges“.
