According to Allure, as reported by another media outlet, Jennifer Aniston has now shut down the rumors that she never wanted children. After her split from Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt, media outlets labeled the actress as selfish for caring about her career more than wanting to have a kid.

This maligning of her name continued when the actress’s marriage to Justin Theroux came to a sudden end. Aniston addressed the  “was just selfish” claims in an interview with TODAY.  She further pointed out how the industry treated men and women diffrently.

Unlike her character on Friends, Aniston is not a mom, but that is not for her lack of trying. Nearly two decades after Branglina captivated the world, the Murder Mystery actress finally let her fans into her biggest challenge. Her infertility complications. After keeping mum for years, the actress revealed that she had gone through IVF treatments in hopes of having a child.

Being one of Hollywood’s most outspoken, it took fans by surprise that the actress had not shut down the rumors earlier. However, the incident goes on to show how detrimental the effects of the rumor treadmill are on the actors.
