The user pointed out a Joey Tribbiani continuity mishap after watching the first season of the comedy-drama. He brought up episode 3 where the group chats over phrases and Chandler refers to how parents lie to their kids about the deaths of their pets.

To this, Ross responds his parents also took their family dog to a farm and others look at him shockingly, including Joey. However, in season 10, he falls for the same lie after Chandler replaces their pet chick and duck. So through this post, the fan tried to show that the series missed out on the essence of this character, who was depicted as immature.

Fans do not think Joey Tribbiani remained the same in Friends 

Many fans took to the comment section to talk about the character development of Joey Tribbiani. One user stated: “Season 1 – 4 Joey is not the same Joey at all whatsoever in the slightest in (especially) season 9 – 10 Joey”. A second felt sorry for him for the way creators made him look foolish over the years. “Joey got dumbed down so much during the series; by season 10 it was criminal,” wrote a fan.

“Yup, I feel like it starts around when he gets in his map in London – just a couple episodes earlier he was explaining the rules of rugby to everyone,” added another. Well, these are just some point of views of people who have loved the character and wanted better things for him.
