Jennifer Aniston was 25 years old when she debuted on Friends’ way back in 1994. The star quickly became a sensation thanks to her stylish wardrobe and fashion sense. However, the actress was famed for her beauty appeal, for which she has tried several recipes. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the now 54-year-old diva opened up on opting for a salmon sperm facial on her skin. When her aesthetician first proposed the idea, she was left dumbfounded. “Are you serious…,” was the actress’s initial reaction.

She was eventually convinced of its benefits, ranging from regenerative and anti-aging effects on the skin. Along with it, it was also said to improve wound healing and reduce inflammation. The star eventually agreed and had the DNA extracted from salmon sperm cells on her face. However, later on in the interview, Aniston also wondered if the treatment actually did help her in any way. Regardless, it was a one-off case. Yet, the actor regularly swears by her weekly peptide injections as her go-to skincare routine.

In the world of modeling and media personalities, Kim Kardashian comes as a chart-topper. The socialite has a devout fan following that hinges on her beauty tips and tricks. However, she shook her fandom when she once posted a photo of herself smeared in blood. Turns out, she was simply trying on a new beauty care, termed the vampire facial. The process has blood drawn from a person’s body and spun in a centrifuge. The extracted plasma platelet is then either injected or laid over the skin, which is exactly what Kardashian did.

The list of such treatments continues with Iron Man actress, Gwyneth Paltrow who was once the subject of ‘apitherapy’. The treatment involved being stung over by bees to reduce inflammation of the skin, something which Paltrow described as “painful”. Even Simon Cowell once retorted to ‘sheep placenta facial’. Thus, the vast and usually unheard-of treatments that celebrities go through are not what an ordinary person would. Regardless, the actors better know how to navigate the tight corners of the entertainment industry.
