Season three of The Witcher gave Freya Allan plenty of room to shine as Ciri. However, with season four yet to commence filming, the actress has moved ahead with her first 2024 release, Baghead. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actress re-shared a behind-the-scenes makeup photo from actress Svenja Jung. While Allan played the role of Iris, Jung played Sarah in the horror film based on a creature who can “bring back the dead”.
Adapted from a 2019 short film of the same name, the director, Alberto Corredor, returned to make a 1 hour and 34 minutes version. Released on January 26 in the UK, the thriller explored the borderline between human morality and supernatural intrigue by pitching the character in situations that test how far she could go to be able to communicate with the deceased. As expected, things went wrong, as a shape-shifting creature emanated from a basement and lay on the loose.
Aside from Baghead, Freya Allan has major box office outings in the offing for the year ahead, with an anticipated rebooted sequel in the kitty.

Freya Allan will play Mae, a feral human, in the upcoming Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes movie. Scheduled to release on 10th May 2024, she has already highlighted a few glimpses of herself as the human protagonist. Set 300 years after the War for the Planet of the Apes, the new world order will find apes in charge of Earth and humans reduced to struggling survivors.
Starring as the only human actor in the upcoming movie, Allan spent her filming surrounded by other actors in motion capture suits. A vastly different experience from The Witcher, the film will open her to further inroads into Hollywood. After that, alongside the fourth season of the Netflix fantasy, the actress will also go about filming for another horror fantasy, Triton.
