Freya Allan wants to have a princess-y transition. After playing the orphan princess of the defunct Cintra kingdom for over five years, Allan now wants to transform herself into the Disney princess, Rapunzel. But this is not a whimsical desire or a result of the exclusion anxiety with the surge in live-action remakes of animated Disney classics. Allan, since she was little, dreamt of playing this role- and she might just be very close to making her dream come true. 

A recent update on the Disney movie Tangled's live-action remake proved that Freya Allan's manifestation power might be stronger than Ciri's Elder Blood sorcery.

The much-anticipated Tangled live-action remake is finally being considered by Disney. As per a recent report from Deadline, The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey is in talks to direct the live-action reimagining of the classic Rapunzel fairy tale by Brothers Grimm. The plot is expected to follow along the lines of the 2010 animated version of the fairy tale. And considering that the project has not finalized any actress for the main role yet, Freya Allan has a fair chance to grab her dream project. 

While there is no word on the casting, as per Deadline, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has penned the most recent draft of the script. Meanwhile, Kristin Burr and Lucy Kitada will be producing the project. In the animated version, Mandy Moore voiced Rapunzel- and her singing was generally well-received, though some still say her performance could have been improved. With Allan, however, despite her not being a professional singer, she has time and again shared her musical talents with the world.

Earlier this year, Freya Allan flexed her singing muscles once again to strengthen her case for Disney's live-action Rapunzel.

In October, Freya Allan took to her Instagram to share a video of herself singing 'Free Now' by Gracie Abrams. Although she seemed a little conscious over her “weird singing faces”, in her own words, her vocals stunned fans on social media. This was not the first Instagram singing video from Allan; the actress has treated her fans with her angelic voice several times. In fact, Allan has also sung in The Witcher. 

In season 3 of the Netflix show, Freya Allan sang her own song, called ‘A Little Sacrifice,’ which was shared on YouTube later. Considering the total package she is, the British star ticks all boxes for making a good Rapunzel. Therefore, it will not be surprising if Disney cast the 23-year-old for its upcoming Tangled live-action project.
