Back in November, when the first look from the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes came out, the teaser trailer crossed 100 million views within 24 hours. Following the same, the marketing president of Walt Disney Studios, Asad Ayaz, issued a statement to address his gratefulness to the creators and the makers. Since the timeline also collided with the SAG-AFTRA delays, the makers did not anticipate such a surge in viewership at the time.
Yet, the numbers are self-explanatory in their revelation that such a feat was not exactly coincidental. In fact, it was a crucially calculative step for both the marketing head and the makers to boost the frenzy with its social exposure. As a result, the teaser surpassed 75 million views on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) initially. Later, owing to several mentions, the clip managed to garner 11,000 TikTok comments. As monumental as the first teaser, the trailer as of now seems to be doing no less in gaining its momentum.
