The Invictus season is just three months away. And this time, it will bring together up to 550 competitors from around 25 nations for a thrilling showcase of adaptive sports in Vancouver. As the preparations for the Invictus Games gain momentum, Prince Harry is doing everything he can to ensure his foundation’s mission resonates loud and clear. Out of all the countries that have participated in the international multi-sport event, one team that truly embodied the spirit of the games two years ago was Team Ukraine.
Back in 2022, Ukraine pulled off a miracle by stepping up to participate in the Invictus Games despite their plight. Now, the foundation has finally taken a moment to honor Ukraine and its indomitable spirit with a first-time visit.

On November 1st, the Invictus Games Foundation made its first official visit to Ukraine since the country joined the Invictus Community of Nations back in 2017. This visit lined up perfectly with the national team’s third training camp for the upcoming Invictus Games in Vancouver Whistler 2025. To welcome them, Invictus Games: Team Ukraine shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, saying, "we were incredibly proud and happy to welcome the delegation from the Foundation to our country”.
The team also mentioned the representatives who visited. Thanks to their trip, members of the Invictus Games Foundation had the chance to meet face-to-face with participants from the Ukrainian national team, while also discussing the urgent need for ongoing support for Ukrainian veterans. This visit comes right on the heels of Prince Harry’s much-talked-about meeting with NATO.
Prince Harry recently touched on Invictus during his discussions with NATO, which, of course, stirred up another round of controversy.

Prince Harry joined the NATO military committee in New York via video call to talk about his goal through the Invictus Foundation. While the Duke was not there in person, there was a delegation from the Invictus Games that represented his organization. And somehow, the 40-year-old’s participation sparked a negative discourse online, even though it is quite common to see high-profile figures at NATO events.

Many fans online expressed that Prince Harry does not bring enough value or importance to deserve a platform at NATO. Some even suggested this was just another publicity stunt from the Californian royal. While the Invictus connection with NATO remains a bit controversial as of now, the organization's visit to NATO's partner country, Ukraine, is winning hearts across the internet.
