The World’s Most Handsome Man title-winning actor faced backlash for his looks owing to his latest hairstyle in Argylle. As questions ranging from why the stylist would opt for such a bizarre hairstyle to whether the director is trying to sabotage Cavill painted the Internet, the director had no choice but to respond. In an interview with Dexerto, Vaughn revealed the purpose behind Cavill’s specific look. He revealed it was to create a juxtaposition between Elly Conway’s idea of great spies and real spies like Same Rockwell’s character.
According to the trailer of the film, everything that happened in the book happened exactly the same way as it happens in real life. At the New York ComicCon, when a special sneak peek of a train scene was given, it revealed Aiden was nothing like what Elly imagined a spy to be. Despite all the jokes and hilarious memes, Argylle stands firm with its representation of the thrilling spy tale. However, fans will need to watch the movie to see if the hairstyle was actually worth it.
