Buckingham has forever given Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a cold shoulder ever since the release of the Bombshell docuseries, Harry & Meghan. The palace, as is the custom, refrained from commenting on any of the allegations. However, they have taken the hits for the claims by the Duke and the Duchess. Following the nukes dropped on the family, they have refrained from proceeding with their relationship with the self-exiled couple. This comes evident as the estranged couple apparently received no invitation from the Palace for King Charles’ first birthday as the monarch. 

As per reports by Yahoo, the Palace has once again denied expressing any comments on snubbing the couple from the ceremony. It thus gives rise to another wave of speculation over the Palace inviting the couple. According to the books, their royal ranks, especially Prince Harry, make it certain for him to attend the ceremony. As the King’s son and being fifth in line to the succession of the throne, the Duke and the Duchess should receive the invitation, claims the report. 

Moreover, Prince Harry and Meghan had also attended the former monarch, Queen Elizabeth’s Trooping Colours. Nonetheless, following the escalation in tension between the families, the Sussex attendance at the event remains unsure. The bittersweet attendance of Prince Harry at the royal spectacle in the previous month had also caused a stir among the subjects. 

While their last appearance at the royal grounds together was during the late Queen’s funeral, it wasn’t all that while back when Buckingham Palace talked about the Sussexes.

The last we got to hear from the Palace officials regarding the whereabouts of the Sussexes was King Charles’ coronation. Not only Buckingham, but Archewell officials also cleared that only Prince Harry was attending the spectacle without the Duchess, Meghan Markle. 

The reasons behind Markle holding back the invitation had raised many eyebrows. The majority of them considered Prince Archie’s birthday on the same day to be the reason. Others speculated Markle had some underlying causes. Nonetheless, insiders revealed that the King harbors no harsh feelings for the Duchess. Although disappointed, he understood the dynamics behind the Duchess deciding on the same.
