After the stomach-churning end of the second season of Euphoria, which was rumored to be skipping five years into the future, it is not surprising that fans have been waiting on edge for any kind of update about the third season. And it seems that the wait is finally over. According to a post from a fan page, Sam Levinson recently revealed his plans for the third season of Euphoria. The director, in an interview with Elle, announced that the season would be a “film noir.”
But that was not all. The director also told fans what they can expect from one of the main characters who is portrayed by Zendaya. Levinson teased fans by also sharing plans to “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”
While Sam Levinson has not given fans much to go on, there are still a few who are looking forward to the third season. However, some former fans of the show do not seem interested in the franchise at all.
How Euphoria may have become the most hated show on TV
Anyone on social media in 2022, back when the final episode of the second season dropped, knows how much the whole thing blew up. From heartbreak to the death of a beloved character and a whole lot of drama in between, everything seemed to escalate extremely fast. The only good thing that fans got from the end of the season was Zendaya’s character, Rue, getting sober.

Right from the beginning days of the show, the criticisms came flooding in, but season two may have gotten the worst brunt of it all. With claims that the show glamorizes substance abuse, the director may have taken it too far when he depicted a teenager, portrayed by Zendaya, “shooting up” outside a motel in LA.
