Following ‘The Flash’s Release, Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill Fans Face Another Let Down
Henry Cavill might be most known for his role as Superman in Zack Snyder’s 2013 DC film, Man of Steel. But with the actor announcing that he would be hanging up his cape for good and that he would not be returning to The Witcher, he left fans wondering if they would ever see him as Superman again. If not in movies, then maybe in cameo roles in other DC films? But it seems like that would not be the case either.
With the release of Ezra Miller’s The Flash, those dreams have been crushed too. Fans were let down by another Superman cameo which in a way was supposed to be Cavill but has only received backlash from the fans.

After the much-awaited DC film, The Flash was released. Everyone was hoping for cameos, which they even got. However, not the ones they wanted. After James Gunn’s decision not to cast Henry Cavill, who was checked out by his costar, as Superman in his upcoming film, it looks like The Flash director, Andrés Muschietti, decided to follow the same path, according to Screen Rant.
The Flash decided to incorporate Tim Burton’s Superman, which was received well by fans as it featured Nicholas Cage. It also had multiple cameos of DC heroes to pay respect to the previous adaptations. From Wonder Woman to Batman, the cameo list was absolutely star-studded. With Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, and Jeremy Irons being only a few of the stars.
But while the Justice League cameos may have been well-received, fans could not help but notice that Henry Cavill was missing from the film.
Henry Cavill fans want their Superman back
While The Flash may have given their fans a few things off their checklist, it seems as though they may have skimmed past one important part. And that was that their fans wanted to see Henry Cavill as Superman one more time, considering he just gave up his decades-long role. But the film failed to cast Cavill for unknown reasons.
While some viewers just enjoyed the movie, others took to Twitter to share their thoughts and opinions with their online following.

Following the Ezra Miller backlash and box office disappointment of the film, it is uncertain whether Miller will remain in his role or whether will continue at all. And while it is difficult to tell whether Cavill fans will ever get the cameo that they are dreaming about, one thing is for sure Cavill will not be returning as the red-caped superhero anytime soon.
