According to an exclusive report by Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios is shaking up the cast of its hit Prime Video series, Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Billie Eilish is among the A-list names rumored to join the show, as the studio seeks new leads to play John and Jane in Season 2. The roles require actors in their 20s and one-year deals, which puts the pop star in the perfect fit to ace the role. 

Rumors are swirling about potential casting decisions, with Eilish's involvement following her recent back-to-back milestones after her latest drop. While no formal offers have been made, Eilish's addition would bring a fresh dynamic to the series. The casting decision is highly anticipated, as fans eagerly await Season 2's direction following the shocking Season 1 finale cliffhanger.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith showrunner Francesca Sloane has refrained from commenting on reports of new leads joining the series, sidestepping questions about the titular couple's fate. "If we tell you too much, you'll know early if they survived," she said. Sloane also hinted at a possible anthology format, stating it is "a possibility" when asked about seasonal stories.

Sloane dismissed speculation about tension with departing stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, calling it a creative conversation to bring the best version of Season 2. "We love each other very much," she asserted in a Crew Call interview. The new casting calls, reportedly for one-year contracts, fuel theories of a refreshed storyline. Since John and Jane Smith are undercover names, new actors could play different characters, maintaining the series' intrigue.
