The six-part Netflix docuseries about ripping open the unheard secrets of the royal family might have served the fans at its best. However, the anti-royal tell-all saga could not do much to be worthy of the Television Academy Awards, or the Emmys. Variety magazine released the list of the top-tier Hollywood bigwigs and the movies and shows that run a chance to bag the esteemed Award home. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s, Harry & Meghan, was nowhere to be seen. Although tipped to make its space, the Emmy Awards have snubbed the California royals big time.

As inevitable as it was, it is time for the royal commentators to come right to the estranged couple. While some have lambasted the pair with crude criticism, others have well-constructed advice for the pair to look into in the future. Meanwhile, speaking exclusively to Mirror, PR Expert, Mayah Riaz also chipped in her thoughts about the same. “The thing with awards is that there are so many of them,” says Riaz while speaking of the Sussex snub.

“C’est la vie,” she said. Getting nominated does not really matter at this point. In fact, losing an Emmy is not that big of a deal for the Duke and the Duchess. Since the snub “has no impact on their career at all,” it is no doubt that the couple has clearly moved on. “The couple are focusing on future projects and not giving the Emmy snub too much thought,” explains Riaz.

For all we know, the sole motive of the estranged royals to come up with the docuseries was to disclose the intricate secrets of the Palace behind closed doors. More than the Palace, the series was all about the long-standing feud between the royals and the UK tabloids. Although it did not add much to their image, it did declare an outright war amongst the estranged Windsors.

Furthermore, the expert elaborated winning awards must be one of the last reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came up with the series. Docuseries have reasons behind it, much bigger than we think, believes Riaz. Nonetheless, the record-breaking Netflix series has clearly served all those purposes already.
