Following Backgrid’s Rejection Prince Harry Faces Another Defeat as Home Office Turns Down His Security Rearrangements Bid
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, might be on a winning streak, but things have certainly gone a bit downhill for the Duke. Prince Harry is currently battling with multiple legal cases, each of which is taking a toll on him. The man on the mission had an ongoing legal fight against the Murdoch Papers and some other notorious UK tabloids.
If this was not enough, the Prince also had a legal bid filed to pay for his and his family’s personal protection against the Home Office in 2022. Following the couple’s paparazzi car chase last week, he also issued the Backgrid News Agency, with a letter of notice demanding the immediate handover of paparazzi photos. However, everything seems to have backfired against Prince Harry, yet again.

Following the couple’s recent ‘near catastrophic’ incident in New York, Prince Harry moved to the London High Court to demand his personal protection at his Montecito abode in California. The Duke of Sussex had claimed for his private security, which he would have funded on his own back in 2022. His lawyers had cited legal clauses to get back the Prince his Ravec- Royal and VIP Executive Committee privilege that he had given up long back.
However, the Home Office stayed true to the principles that deem it inappropriate for wealthy people to enjoy exclusive rights over specialized armed police protective security. Nonetheless, his lawyers had argued that the 1996 Police Act allowed the Duke to go ahead on his due course. But the final judgment on the matter has not really favored the Sussex royal.
According to BBC, Judge Justice Chamberlain has clearly denied the Duke to go on for a judicial review over the decision of stripping him of police protection. Notably, the Sussexes had personal police security as senior members of the royal family. However, upon their renunciation of the monarchy, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had to wash their hands of the royal advantages.
If losing the Home Office review was not enough, Prince Harry lost another of his ongoing battles past week.

Speaking of the other ongoing battles, the Backgrid Agency turned down Prince Harry’s demand. The Duke and the Duchess issued in a statement that they required “immediate handover” of the paparazzi pictures snapped during the New York Car chase. However, the agency downright rejected the demand, replying to a satirical remark to Duke.
Meanwhile, the MGN publisher begged pardon for the phone hacking instance to the Prince. Nonetheless, the counterattack has put the Prince in trouble. Backgrid Agency has thereby claimed that Prince Harry’s claims do not have enough proof and evidence to substantiate themselves.
