Away from the world of superhero fatigue, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is doing everything to ensure its super cartel does not fall short for fans in the future. As the only Spider-Man who lived Deadpool’s dream of hanging out with the Avengers, Tom Holland is ready to take the mantle of Marvel’s web-slinging legacy forward with Spider-Man 4 and more. Then again, the Spider-Man universe was never really just about the masked crusader; it is as much about the wrongdoers—think Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom. According to MyTimeToShineHello on X, after majorly focusing on male adversaries in the MCU movies, Spider-Man 4 is reportedly about to make a change with a female main villain to star opposite Tom Holland. Word on the superhero street says the villain has already been cast. While it remains unknown which villain Marvel is going ahead with, Monster could be one of the top choices.
Carlie Cooper and Peter Parker were romantically involved initially. However, Green Goblin captured her later on, spraying the Goblin Formula and turning her into Monster. Though she was eventually cured, and her Goblin-era was brief, she turned out to be quite threatening.
Silver Sable
Silvija Sablinova is the founder of Silver Sable International, who was first introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #265. Having witnessed her mother’s tragic demise, she pleaded with her father to help her train in tactical maneuvers like espionage and combat. Ultimately, she became the leader of the Wild Pack—an elite international extraction team.
Though it looks like Spider-Man and Silver Sable’s intentions are one and the same, she is not bound by traditional moral codes, enabling her to switch sides depending on the circumstance.
Silver Sable, however, is not the only one with adaptive ethics.
Black Cat
The cat burglar from Spider-Man comics, Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, was one of Peter Parker’s unstable partners. Felicia is Walter Hardy’s daughter and Black Fox’s disciple—both infamous as thieves. Although she followed in their footsteps, she had a diabolical stance in the comics as Spider-Man’s rival and love interest.
Mastered in manipulation, Black Cat was often in conflict with Spider-Man, but she soon turned into an anti-hero who helped him periodically.
White Rabbit
Lorina Dodson/White Rabbit was born rich. However, tired of living the sheltered life, she turned into an adversary because of the fun of it. She based her crime era on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, having once found her comfort in it.
Originally famous as the archenemy of Frog-Man, Spider-Man ultimately joined forces to trap her.
Wraith
It is unclear who plays the main villain in Spider-Man 4. But is certainly not the rumored MCU candidate from the Upside Down, Sadie Sink. No matter who it is, bringing Wraith’s character opposite Tom Holland could turn the movie into a high-stakes showdown. Yuriko Watanabe, an order-keeping offspring, served as Spider-Man’s trusted informant.
