5 Months After Heading to Japan to Promote ‘Stranger Things’, Millie Bobby Brown Opened Up About Her Experience
Millie Bobby Brown has been a constant name in the spotlight ever since her breakthrough role on the hit series, Stranger Things. Even with the final season approaching, the hype for the series has not lessened in the slightest. From filming rumors to promotion tours for season 5, the nineteen-year-old has been put through the wringer. But now, five months after jetting off to Japan to work her Eleven magic on fans, the actress has opened up about what it was like finally getting to meet her Japanese fans and how it was to learn about their culture.
While the experience for the Enola Holmes star may have been “spectacular”, there were a few aspects of their culture that the actress could not completely wrap her head around.
Millie Bobby Brown reveals the differences in Japanese culture

Millie Bobby Brown opened up about how her experience was to travel to Japan for a Stranger Things promo tour in her recent sitdown with the podcast Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers. The actress, who recently stunned fans with a hair change, revealed that “wherever you go” in Tokyo, “it’s like New York.” She went on to call the entire experience “spectacular.” However, there was one part of the entire trip that she found a little confusing.
She goes on to tell interviewers, that when she first came to Japan, she realized that “the culture is that sometimes they become shy when they first see a famous person.” And she recalls how it was the tourists that would come up to her for a chat or a photo. But with her Japanese fans, Brown had to put in more effort than that. She also said that she was the one who would have to initiate contact before they came “out of their shell.”
But months before the actress sat down to talk about her experience, Millie Bobby Brown surprised people at the Osaka Comic Con to talk about her hit series, Stranger Things, which is heading into its final season.

Back in May, Millie Bobby Brown headed to Japan for the Osaka Comic Con. After stunning her Japanese fans with a little “Hai Konnichiwa”, the star talked about the reason she thought Stranger Things was so popular. After explaining that the show speaks to a wide audience, she went on to call it special.

After a small questionnaire about her co-stars, she finished up the night by talking about Stranger Things and its final season which is set to release sometime in 2025. But while Millie Bobby Brown may be ready for her next chapter, fans are not too excited about to show coming to an end after only five short but intense seasons.
