The final episode ended on a cheerful note where Rachel “got off the plane” to be with Ross, Chandler-Monica shifted to their new house, and Phoebe finally got her own little family with Mike. Whereas Joey finally accepted the situation and got ready to move on in his own life. But what if he would also find someone to spend the rest of his life with?

Joey and his love life

Although there was a spin-off called Joey, he never got married to anyone. But what if there was a spin-off about the ladies’ man finally falling in love and overcoming his fear of commitment? It would have completed his story with impressive character development.

In Friends, Joey was ready to commit to Rachel because he was in love with her. However, they had a gut-wrenching breakup while staying friends till the end. Therefore, showcasing Joey finding the love of his life, having a bunch of children, and taking care of them with his successful acting career would have made a great spin-off.

Maybe then, his kids could have joined Emma, Ben, and Phoebe’s triplets in another spin-off as well.

The one with the kids grown up

Ross had Ben with his first wife, Carol, who then divorced him to be with Susan and had a baby girl with Rachel, Emma. Phoebe was a surrogate mother to his brother’s triplets as well: Leslie, Chandler, and Frank Jr., and there were Chandler-Monica’s twins as well. What if there was a spin-off showing all these kids’ lives? They could have created a separate universe where they all are best friends and share the same bond as their parents did.

Emma and Ben could have recreated some of the iconic Ross-Monica moments. A couple of them even could develop a romantic relationship as well. They all could have gone to school together, where they would protect each other from troubles. Of course, there could be a cameo appearance of any of the Friends characters as well.

Maybe one of Chandler’s children would replicate his sense of humor as well, which leads us to another idea of Chandler’s story.

Chandler Bing’s childhood

Chandler had a troubled childhood, as he often admitted throughout the show. His parents got a messy divorce. Using sarcasm as a defense mechanism, it took a lot of time for him to heal. So, what if the Friends universe explored that dynamic of Chandler’s life? How he grew up and how he coped with his parents’ divorce could be a perfect explanation for his commitment phobia.

Moreover, there could have been a story or two about his college life with Ross as well. Wearing those iconic costumes as David Schwimmer pointed out in his tribute to Matthew Perry, Chandler and Ross could have given us the best fashion statement of the era, too. His relationships in his college, their band, and how he ended up staying around Ross could be a fantastic story.

Yes, there can be another spin-off about Phoebe Buffay’s life as well.

Phoebe Buffay’s back story

Phoebe has always made us question where she came from and why she was a little weird. However, there were times when she explained her back story to the group. Nevertheless, it would be a lot more interesting to know exactly what happened in the past. The stories she shared about her parents being poor, her relationship with her twin sister, Ursula, and her overall past could have created a hilarious spin-off series.

In one of the Thanksgiving episodes of the show, Phoebe talks about her past life. In the spin-off, they could explain these visions as well. Or they could show how the difficulties of her childhood led her to create her imaginary perfect world as well. Maybe she already had a smelly cat in her childhood, whom her mother also loved dearly. It could explain why she thought it was her mother when she found a cat outside Central Perk in the show.

The Duck and Chick show

Do you remember Chandler and Joey had a duck and a chick as their pets? What if those two would get their own animated series or a mini-series where they talk about their lives? They would reminisce about their memorable moments with Chandler and Joey. There could be a cameo voice appearance from one of the cast members as well. In fact, it could also include Mozzarella, the dog that Phoebe got Joey, too.
