“Fit two Avengers films”- 'House of The Dragon' Showrunner Boasts Shooting Schedule, as Season 2 Release Nears
In an era dominated by formulaic dramas and tired tropes, House of the Dragon stands out for its unflinching commitment to intense storytelling, making it one of the greatest shows ever produced. The series' commitment to accurate portrayals of medieval warfare, keeping up with its parent show makes it a spin-off worth the hype like no other. With its immaculate fight scenes and unflinching approach to violence, the Game of Thrones prequel is no less than a billion-dollar-worth MCU movie.
Drawing comparisons with MCU, one of the showrunners in the house has reiterated just that in contrast to its battle scenes, pushing excitement for the release of the second season to fever-pitch.

Den of Geek shared the first glimpse of the fantasy drama and its future wars to come. Ryan Condol, the showrunner, convened the cast and crew of Game of Thrones to share the sequence expansion, complemented by the budgetary boost their franchise has witnessed by now. While speaking of the increase in scale, Condol said, “We can fit two Avengers films inside of our shoot schedule,”
Adding to it further, he boasted about how the forthcoming battles in season 2 are the two of the largest sequences they have ever filmed on the House of the Dragon. “Both of them outstrip anything that we did in season one,” said the American screenwriter. “They are episodes within episodes,” he said concluding his teaser talks on the season 2 arrival.
With plans all set in motion, the franchise is sure to outdo its 200-year-ahead sequel Game of Thrones.

The one reason for Condol’s immense pride in the work he did is outdoing one of the biggest shows worldwide in his own ways. While Game of Thrones maxed out at three dragons at its best, the spin-off has already introduced nine in its first season, with five more on the way, including Sunfyre and Moondancer. This surge in dragon power opens up a whole new world of aerial combat possibilities.
While the trailer and its foreshadowing on a bloody Targaryen civil war had fans in a chokehold, media outlets have confirmed that Season 2 of House of the Dragon premieres Sunday, June 16, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The highly anticipated new season will air exclusively on HBO's traditional TV channel, offering viewers a thrilling continuation of the hit series. Additionally, fans can stream the show on Max, HBO's popular streaming service.
