Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool 3 is undoubtedly Hollywood’s most-awaited project. The film has been a long time coming, and it has been years since Reynolds last starred as the wise-cracking anti-hero. Since its announcement, the film has already undergone multiple delays due to the SAG-AFTRA protests. However, now that the strikes have concluded, it means the industry can get back to work. And it seems like Ryan Reynolds has started reigniting the hype for Deadpool 3 among the fans.

Not long ago, Reynolds took to Instagram as he introduced the world to Marvel’s take on Dogpool.

Now that the SAG-AFTRA strikes have come to an end, actors can go back to promoting their films and projects. Ryan Reynolds, who has already proved to be a marketing whiz, is already back at it. The Free Guy star recently took to Instagram as he unveiled the live-action version of a character from the Deadpool comics, Dogpool. Sharing the first look of the adorable dog, Reynolds questioned, “Did Dogpool save the day?” He continued, “Not a chance in gremlin hell” as he joked, “But she IS currently causing the Disney plushy merch department nightmares.”

Apart from sharing the image of MCU’s unique take on the character, Reynolds made another exciting revelation. The Merc with a Mouth star dropped some hints about the film’s release revealing that he is coming with the film in Summer 2024. However, there is still uncertainty over when the film will grace our screens. After being removed from Disney’s release schedule, no specific date for the film has been revealed.

Dogpool has been a fan-favorite character among the fans. She was a member of the Deadpool corps and later gained the power to heal himself. While Reynolds shared the first look of Dogpool for the third edition, did she make it to the second installment?

Over the past few years, Deadpool films have been home to a plethora of easter eggs and unexpected twists. Likewise, the 2018 flick gave rise to an expected cameo that no one saw coming. One such was a subtle scene featuring Dogpool. Toward the start of the movie, a blink-and-miss cameo referenced the obscure canine character.

During the Skee-Ball scene between Wade and Vanessa, a stuffed toy was visible among the prizes in the background. Interestingly, the toy bears a close resemblance to Dogpool. However, for now, Dogpool’s role in Deadpool 3 is up in the air.
