The British heartthrob who has captivated the world with his charm and acting talents, Henry Cavill, has undoubtedly achieved a remarkable level of success in his career. His journey to a net worth of $50 million is paved with dedication and strategic career choices. Besides his notable DC projects which grossed hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide, his silver screen work in The Witcher garnered him almost $1 million per episode from season 2 onwards. 

It appears he has put his amassed gains to good use, indulging himself in a luxurious abode in an unexpected spot for the sake of privacy. 

The multi-million mansion Henry Cavill invested in

According to a report by Hello from last year, Cavill splurged a hefty £3.5 million on a mansion 40 miles away from Hollywood, nestled in the tranquil environs of Lake Sherwood. The opulent residence showcases a plethora of extraordinary amenities, including a boat deck, and an inviting pool stationed outside. Previously, the 40-year-old had also confessed to being a bit of a recluse who prefers not to engage in Hollywood’s pompous affairs. 

So, the Argylle actor deliberately sidestepped the dazzling limelight, evident in his strategic choice of a retreat far removed from the glitzy allure of Tinseltown. His Lake Sherwood abode boasts five bedrooms, including guest quarters and a state-of-the-art cinema where he can screen as he pleases. It even carries expansive windows offering captivating panoramic vistas of the surrounding nature. 

In comparison, his London home is not quite as luxurious but does have one thing in common with his USA mansion.

Cavill’s home back in his home country

During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show in 2019, Cavill spilled the tea on the spot in England he calls home. He lives in a converted “mews house” in London. These originated as “stables” built behind grand houses and later transformed into quaint residences. Well, the Man of Steel actor himself described it as “small” suggesting an intimate space that allows him privacy like his residence across the Pacific.

Even as a gaming nerd, he has only allowed himself a minuscule area of the house where he has set up his PC station that he built himself. Some glimpses from his Instagram have revealed a red leather desk while the background carried floral curtains, hinting at a traditional vibe. It is believed to be located in the heart of South Kensington, a historic district known for its museums and elegant architecture.
