Hollywood’s sweetheart, Jennifer Aniston, may have found a new role model. While the actress has been vocal about a lot of things like the gap between men and women and even her salary on Friends, she recently ended up sharing a not-so-new take. There is no doubt that the world of glitz and glamor treats its male and female stars rather differently. Although an aging man might be considered confident or more mature, that has not always been the case for the actresses.

Now, the 54-year-old has taken to her social media to resonate with Cyndi Lauper’s iconic take on asking women questions about their age.

In a story to her Instagram, Jennifer Aniston recently posted a video of the iconic singer, Cyndi Lauper. The clip was a post from a fan page that featured the now 70-year-old explaining how she dealt with people asking her what her age was. She claimed that she used to ask them, “What do you think I am? Some kind of car?” or “What do you want to do? Pick up the hood, check the mileage, and kick the tires?”

Aniston did not add a caption to her post. However, she did add a single red heart to the story. It comes as no surprise that the Just Go With It star is not a fan of people asking about her age. After all, her whole life has been in the spotlight since she officially made it with the NBC sitcom, Friends. While it might be normal to see the star on the big screen, the world also seemed to be obsessed with her love life.

However, after two high-profile divorces, Jennifer Aniston ended up setting the record straight in a lot of stories created by the media.

Back in 2021, Jennifer Aniston broke her silence on the double standards in Hollywood. While the actress was a fan favorite since Friends, the media still chose to put her down. In an interview, the actress opened up about how tabloids had claimed she wanted to focus on her career instead of having a family. They even claimed it to be the reason for her divorce from Brad Pitt.

However, Aniston went on to say that it was not the same for men. For them, if one marriage did not work out, they were not made into the villain and they could re-marry as many ever times as they wanted. While it might be true that old-school Hollywood might still function the way it used to, the actress and her co-star Reese Witherspoon could put a stop to it with their potential Barbieworld.
