“Felt Displaced”- Reason Why Prince Harry Fell Out of the “Three Musketeers” With Prince William and Kate Middleton
Long before Megxit was even a thing, and the controversies between the new-age royals were still a mere tittle-tattle, Prince Harry, Prince William, and his wife Kate Middleton were known as the three musketeers of the royal family. The trio formed the face of the younger and modernized Buckingham, while also upholding the age-old values of the firm. Although the controversy-free era did not last for long, it flourished while it did, or so said the publications. However, recent revelations have proved otherwise and nothing has been the same ever since.
Prince Harry has been crystal clear about how the royal face they carried on the outside never suited him. However, as a vital part of the Monarchy, he did it all. In the course of the same, while working with sister-in-law Kate Middleton, he also had to deal with everything that came along. Be it the third-wheeling between his brother and his wife, or handling the responsibilities of Middleton’s family, he did not like it much.
Renowned royal biographer Tina Brown shed light on Prince Harry’s repressed feelings in the book Palace Papers of 2022. “Though they were still incredibly close, living next door to each other, sharing the same office,” it became no less than torture for the then-bachelor Prince. Adding to it was the growing distance between him and his only own, elder brother, Prince William.

He “mourned his us-against-the-world bond with William,” Brown wrote, according to Express. Prince Harry thus “felt displaced by their bougie family unit,” never being able to run lines with Prince William’s in-laws. Amidst the chaos, coping became a hard-wire act for the Duke.
How was Prince Harry putting up with the drastically changing circumstances?

Speaking of the Duke, Brown noted that spending time in the countryside usually seemed good for the other royals. However, it “just wasn’t something that interested Harry,” she added. When they had to spend some time at the Bucklebury, it bored the Duke “to tears.“
For those unversed, Bucklebury is a frequent visit place for the royals as it is Kate Middleton’s hometown. While Prince William basked in his marital bliss with his beloved, Prince Harry just could not mesh with the new willy that came “post-Kate”. The bougie lifestyle started taking a harsh toll on the Duke until there was nothing left. The beautiful bond ultimately led to heated exchanges, fistfights, and an insurmountable divide between the siblings.
