Fans Visibly Appalled As Industry Insider Suggests Zack Snyder's name for 'Dune 4' Director

With confirmations of commencement for its third installment, Dune 3 is set to kickstart production soon as well. Denis Villeneuve maintains his ‘chosen’ status, set to start in June 2025. With the hopes high, but only on cue of Villeneuve's clean-cut delivery of the plot, the audience waits in a complete stupor for what the director will brew. While things are merry around the ‘dunes’, the mention of Zack Snyder’s name has been whispered within the circle, raising the ears and eyebrows of many.

Avid following of the industry has given the audience a good idea of what distinguishes the most well-known directors and producers. With the third part finally in pre-production, scouting for the fourth has already begun, at least by the fans. One being Gareth Edwards. While we know the director is being rightfully suggested by fans well versed in the Dune Cinematic Universe, it was the of Zack Snyder, in regards to shooting the fourth installation in the franchise, that the fans stood skeptical and maybe even apprehensive towards the director joining hands with the slowly becoming Hollywood mogul.

Gareth Edwards, responsible for some of the landmarks for the big screen, from Godzilla to Jurassic World to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, pit against the Hollywood production powerhouse, Zack Snyder, who seems to be offering more mainstream, more generic content, according to the fans. Having singlehanded-ly (with a crew, of course), taken by the storm with pieces of art like Man of Steel in 2013, to his very recent: Rebel Moon and Rebel Moon Part Two

While Snyder surely holds prowess in the ways of the screen, there might be a few pointers he could take from the audience, or maybe stop doing so, is what fans seem to be suggesting in the context of the recent release of Rebel Moon, where Snyder seems to be doing a lot less and releasing a lot more.

Zack Snyder’s signature style is not for Dune 4 per fans

While it is safe and even helpful, even 'respectful' to have a niche in the work you do, it can get a suspicious call from those who stand to acclaim and are more than responsible for taking you to the top, or to the bottom, if your niche becomes the grounds for an overproduction, overuse, and exploitation of ideas, or so the fans think has happened with Zack Snyder’s work. 

Fans seem to be skeptic of Snyder's creative choices being a little too recycled, looking at his recent projects.

With an announcement of an early production for the latest to-be-released part of the movie series of the 'thirst' for knowledge regarding the Dune project remain stagnated for now, since the news of commencement of the pre-production and a confirmation of quality with the maintained director, fans are still, helplessly, on the edge about how things left off in the second part, will fare for and continue for the ‘Messiah’.
