Marvel Rivals is a 2024 third-person hero shooter video game developed and published by NetEase Games in association with Marvel Games. It was released on December 6 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, boasting a presence of 33 playable characters from Marvel Comics. The game is free to play and also has cross-play features across every supported format. Marvel Rivals is primarily a multiplayer game where six players of one team compete against 6 of the opposing. 

The superheroes and villains Marvel Rivals currently comprises from the Multiverse include Captain America, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Magneto, Peni Parker, Thor, Venom, Black Panther, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hela, Iron Fist, Iron Man, Magik, Moon Knight, Namor, and Psylocke. More characters including Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Squirrel Girl, Star-Lord, Storm, The Punisher, Winter Soldier, Wolverine, Adam Warlock, Cloak & Dagger, Loki, Jeff The Land Shark, Mantis, Luna Snow, and Rocket Racoon complete the roster.

Considering just how huge the universe of Marvel Comics truly is, fans still have some more names to pitch for, and safe to say, the Merc with a Mouth and Gambit are winning the poll with major consensus.
