Fans Term Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk "lame", as They Demand a Revert to the Old MCU Tank
As superhero studios go under renovation, with some bringing in proven directors to paint the walls this time while others depend on statistics and fan rage, the plates keep shifting. While fans manifest roles for certain actors, they also do not hesitate to demand the resignation of some. Marvel has found itself in a very polarizing spot under such circumstances where, after Doctor Doom, fans have turned to Mark Ruffalo's Hulk.
Despite the superhero studios turning the tables by bringing back Robert Downey Jr., and more so as a villain, fans remained unimpressed as they deemed it the studio's method to benefit from an already built fanbase. The audiences are also turning their backs on Mark Ruffalo's "lame" smart Hulk as they demand the return of the original Incredible Hulk.

As popular scoop account on X tweeted that they wanted Ruffalo's Hulk to be gone, the sentiment seemed to resonate with several Marvel fans, and soon as a demand for the old Hulk to return began to rise. Smart Hulk, or Dr. Bruce Banner, has long been under scrutiny, as fans from the very beginning were looking at him as more of a temporary option.
From calling Smart Hulk names to singing praises of the old Incredible Hulk, there were no two ways that the Internet was feeling about the new Hulk.
Marvel fans outsmart Smart Hulk
The original Hulk that fans so fondly speak of was played by Edward Norton, who very honorably played the big-backed superhero and ensured he was a main character rather than a cast-away stint. In 2012, when Mark Ruffalo took the role, while he also took on the task with a sparkle in his eyes, his Hulk was simply not able to resonate with the audiences as much.
Fans reflected at how even the original Hulk had been powered down as compared to the comic version and requested Marvel to give them a Hulk completely in tune with his great powers.

Fortunately, the bandwagon of disapproval was not so much directed towards Mark Ruffalo as it was towards the studio, as fans put Ruffalo's portrayal of Hulk in Avengers on a pedestal. With a deafening chant for fan-casting certain Marvel characters, it remains to be seen if Marvel gets down to business.
